A nice route is the bike path through Vallemaggia
The signposted cycle route is suitable for everyone. The path leads from Locarno to the enchanting Maggia Valley, passing typical villages and the beautiful nature. Passing through Losone and over the rivers Maggia and Melezza you reach Tegna and Ponte Brolla.
From Ponte Brolla, continue on the bike path to Avegno: inaugurated in spring 2016, this newly built bike path allows cyclists to enjoy the ride safely and separated from other traffic.
The route is mostly on bike paths, until Cavergno at the entrance of the Bavona Valley. Some stretches between Losone and Tegna and between Gordevio and Aurigeno are on dirt roads.
